I'm glad they are working for you, I've been wearing mine for a month and my feet have gotten a lot stronger.

Sounds like you did great, especially give the circumstances. I am still in awe at what you accomplish every time you do a Tri! Congrats!

I adjusted and the tab got a little less stiff. It never gave me a blister - it was just a new spot for some friction. As recommended, I tried to wear them around for short distances, even going for groceries, before I tried heavy athletics in them. Before I use them in wet weather or race, I use some Body Glide down the heel and around the opening to give me a better chance at avoiding an odd rub spot.

Aside from wear, washing does help loosen up the shoes a tiny bit. (I handwash with baking soda and a touch of dish liquid to cut all the grease.) My first pair is still going strong after more than a year. Far better than I could say for an athletic sneaker.

Best of luck.

Hi, did the heel tab on the Achilles continue to bother you? Is it a matter of building up a callous or getting used to it? I just got my first pair, and the tab is irritating to the point I'm concerned I won't be able to tolerate the shoe.

I can't even imagine doing part of this race... maybe the lobster bake at the end. You should be truly proud of yourself for even attempting it. I am extremely proud, and awed, of you!
